I hope that I might one day will be able to make a living from my skills as a photographer.
My first time photographing was on a hunt with my father. He was hunting foxes and I was along, and he had allowed me to use their SLR-camera on that day.
After a few hours the huntingcrew had decided which area they wanted to hunt in and the dogs was send into the caves of the foxes. I knew that there would come foxes out, so I zoomed in and prepared the camera (that is pretty much how I remember it, but I guess it was on auto).

And when the fox came out I started to photograph, not as my parents had told, I just kept firing away until the fox was laying down on the field.
The funny thing is, that I never have seen the pictures I took that day. And after that the years passed by where I wasen't allowed to use the camera. But I was hooked.
When I turned 16 I began studying to be a mate and 6 months later I was traveling the world with a containership and the first thing I bought was a SLR and later on that trip a telezoom-lens.
I never got the results I hope for and the camera was used on occasions only, before I sold it to get a digital compact (the digital era was starting). The digital camera was fun, because it was free to fire away. But I didn't have the zoom I wanted and the shutterlag was killing me. I started to read about photography and started to attend different critique-sites and discovered a new world.
I picked up another SLR, this time a different brand than last and also started to photograph on slides. This was a huge change, and I picked up a film-scanner. A good friend was kind enough to offer me his old lenses for free and this was the real turnover. Eventhough they where manual lenses, they where much better than what I used to have regarding sharpness and I just couldn't get enough. Spending a fortune on film and development I figured that I might have to invest in a digital SLR. So I started saving the money and bought one in 2004.
And since I've tried quite a few things regarding cameras and especially lenses. Switching from one brand back to another and getting over these irritating things these switches will cause. Now I'm sticking with the gear I have (I guess).

Through the time, my main interest have been in naturephotography. I like to photograph the wild-life around me or the beauty of the nature. I have done quite a bit of bird-photography, mainly because they are quite easy to work with if you have limited time to your hobby. Mammals are tricky, they require much more time, birds can be found everywhere, eventhough if you want some rare and shy species, you have to do a real efford to find them.
But not all is nature. I also do photograph models on occasions, quite the opposit from what I normally do, here you don't have to be patient, you can affect the shots you self and have almost full control over all the things. Tricky when you're used to work with what there is and what ever light there is.
Another thing I find interesting is sports. There is quite a bit of action here and I find these presure-situations fun. You have to get what you can while the chance is there. You have to live with what light is there, a bit like wild-life photography, but still, things happen faster here.
