Another one from Iceland. This is Godafoss, a HUGE and BEAUTIFUL waterfall on the northern part of the island. I could spend hours there (well, I actually did ;o)). There are clips from there in my youtube-posting from Iceland. The shot is actually a composite made of five frames made into a panorama. A new thing I'm playing with. And yet another borrowed lens, this one allowed me to use a ND-filter to get a longer exposure.

What can be better to travel. Another trip to Iceland, watching the aurora borealis and I just can't be happier. But I want to go back, eventhough this was my second time there. Pictures are in the travel-gallery and a video from there can be found on youtube.

Not quite the same size on this one as the previous entries. But the top and bottom here didn't really give anything extra. A huge thunderstorm hit us, and we saw lightning about every third second or so. So getting a lightning in the frame wasen't the problem, the real issue was not to overexpose with the long exposures. But an amazing sight, and even more fun to stand in. After the storm had passed, my friend said to me "whats that sound - hmmm, must be the waves from the ocean" - we haven't noticed them during the storm.

Again birding, and again with a borrowed lens, a problem when I don't have some proper gear for birding. This time its a rare species in Denmark, the bee-eater, not often we see this one in Denmark. This is one belongs to one of the only three breeding-pairs in Denmark this year.

Long time since I did some serious birding, but a friend was so kind to lent me his lens while he was traveling, so a wee bit of time was spend out in the western part of Jutland. And I did find this stunning bird, just about 2 minutes before the sun set.

Spring is arriving this time of year, so there is no excuse not to go to the forrest and photograph. I did miss a long lens on this trip, since I saw some wild boar, but no chance of photophographing them with a 14-24mm lens

A shot from the harbour in Esbjerg. I like this place, and every time I'm in Esbjerg I have to visit the harbour. Its a place of dreams and the mind is wandering away thinking aobut all the places the ships goes.

An old shot, actually, its from the winter last year. I quite like it though, winter was strong and long, which is not that common here in Denmark. This year had a bit of that as well, but not as much snow but temperatures where really low on the other hand.

Winter is upon us, and this old bridge is a favourite of mine, I often drive by on my way home from work in the hope of a good shot.

Iceland is still on my mind. Seems like a another trip up there is needed, this place is simply mindblowing beautiful, but I belive I've said that before. This is the Seljalandsfoss in the southwestern part of Iceland. Its a special waterfall, you can actually walk all the way around it.

Yet another shot from Iceland. This place is just so mindblowing beautiful that you wanna return as soon as you get home from a vacation there. This show was taken at Jökulsárlón.

This time the shot isn't from France but Iceland. I spend a week there, just enjoying the countryside with my camera. And man its a breathtaking place. I wanna go back now, there are just photos to be taken everywhere there.

Yet another picture from France. This is taken at St. Emilion, a UNESCO herritage site. It is a very beautiful city.

Taken at the Miroir d'Eau in Bordeaux, France on my summer vacation. Kees Terberg was a splended guide around the area, and there really was a lot to see..

A picture of Johan Wohlert from "The Storm" taken at this years Kløften Festival. I've been photographing this festival for the last three years, its extremely fun.

I visited a small lake where there normally is pretty easy access to some interesting birds. I was hoping to find some youngsters, but no luck this time, so ended up with this coot that came pretty close.

This is a shot I've tried to do once or twice before. First time I burned and crashed due to noise, I made a 60 minute exposure and does a CMOS work well for that? NOPE!. Second time I did the shot the normal way with short exposures stacked into one large file. It worked OK, but I haden't checked composition properly. This time, I did the same thing again, and this time I'm quite pleased with the result.

This white tailed eagle was photographed in Sweden with two fellow photographers, Christian and Keld. We went to see the red kites and the white tailed eagle and hopefully the golden eagle as well. The last one we failed on, but Keld got his shots of the white tailed eagle (and Christian and I did as well). The light was not the best but the birds where there. 8 eagles on one location and we stopped counting the kites when we reached 15.

This one is taken at the coast about 30 miles from my home. The fresh water is frozen at this time of year, and this harbour allows us photographers to get close to the birds. The harbour contains a wee bit of ice, but at the moment, its breaking up, seems like spring is on its way (at least I hope ;o))

2010 has made me make a photodiary. A fellow photographer made a challenge, where he asked others to show one picture a day, and I accepted this challenge (will show the gallery here soon). This challenge has made one take the camera along and on occasions also make detours on the way home. This one is from one of those detours ;o)

2010 should start with a shot that I'm proud of. A new decade has arrived and after a years chase, I finally got a decent shot of the Short-Eared Owl. We have hade a wee bit of snow here in Denmark, white christmas and everything. What else can we ask for? But the funny thing is, that it seems to keep on snowing, not something we see a lot of here in Denmark. So after updating the site with this shot, I'm off in the snow ;o)

Another photo from France. You guys know how it is, you never finish working with pictures from places that are different from where you live. The shot is taken at the city of Canet en Roussilion, at one of the etangs there. I was looking for the Flamingos but only saw them at a distance. I did see some white herons up close, but got nothing really good. So this is what I remember from there.

This is yet another shot from the french pyrenees. Its a HDR-image, in which I wanted to capture both details in the sky and in the mountains as well. I especially liked the misty look of the Langedoc-plain below Quéribus.

These are museum-mills near Skærbæk on the westcoast of Denmark. I've passed them many times but I have never seen them in action. This sunday they where spinning nicely and I wanted the capture.

Taken in July on the beach of Rømø. Some fellow photographers, some great models and my self went on a shoot on the beach to get some pictures. I was hit by a small McNally and tried to get flashes in everywhere.

A shot from a lake near my home. I love these coots when they get agressive, and they do. They run over the lake and hunts just about everything and then swim around like small kings. This one was no exception..

This one was taken at Lake Hornborga in Sweden in early April. I visited this place a few times before but it has been a few years since I last was there.

This one is another one from the westcoast of Denmark. I've been chasing these Kestrels for a while. This day I got it all, hunting, capturing the prey, eating and relaxing ;o)

This one is caputered at the westcoast of Denmark, on new years day. A friend and I went photographing, the sun was there when we left home, but soon the clouds came. We weren't too pleased about this, but kept on photographing, the motives just kept coming and we ended up with this one as a fine ending on a fine day.

Taken at a lake close to my home. I was actually looking for the King Fisher but didn't get any, it didn't land near me (perhaps because I didn't use a blind). But the Robin came by and I tried to get the best I could, eventhough the light was quite low, which the EXIF tells.

Taken at the beach on Rømø beach an early morning in the end of October. The sanderlings are a normal species here in Denmark, but in the autumn, there are more due to the migration of the waders.

The Great White Heron isn't a native bird in Denmark. Still we had the chance this autumn to watch this lovely bird at a lake near my home.

This one was taken at Værneengene near Nr. Nebel and Tipperne. An amazing place for the birdwatchers if they hit the right time. Waders and birds will be here during migration along with a colony of Grey Herons.

The picture has actually arrived a bit later on this section than the others, but has been the covershot for my site, which now has been replaced by the monthly picture. This is more like an archive of the monthly pictures. This one is taken at Christians Dal, where the waterlevels where quite low. I liked the colors and the flow of the water.
